Orders 2027
What to get next year and for where:
I had to scratch all my orders for 2026 when I broke my foot. But here's what I am thinking for the next year:
Radio Red salvias Can always use more?
Here's what I am getting in late September -- I'll want to pot up some to grow on for the winter in the garage dormant, and plant out in spring. A few can go in the ground in late September;
Plant in fall
- Arctic Fire dogwood
- Spanish Flare hellebore
- Blue Ice amsonia
Pot until spring
- Black Adder agastache
- Scarlet monardella
- Caradonna salvia
- Dwarf Russian sage
- Engelmann's daisy
ORDERING:
In the new strip in front of the fence
Also replace the Profusion blue sage (looks like nothing all summer)
Caradonna Night salvia (2) - Bluestone
Circle garden where buckwheat was taken out plus replace woody pineleaf penstemon between two lambs ears at front of potting bench curve
Amsonia Blue Ice - Bluestone
One more to complete curve around circle garden
Add several interspersed among other plants in the circle garden.
Make it a repeat plant, tucked in with other things.
Engelmann's Daisy - HCG
Add where I take out the buckwheat in the circle
In green trough in front instead of annual geraniums
Rocky Mountain penstemon -
✓ got 2 at Newman's, big quart sizes
In the circle garden behind the Mexican sage and blue salvia
Blooms mostly spring, color is vivid blue / pink / purple,
Needs space, no irrigation
Planted a second one next to the yarrow in driveway strip
Planted a third one in the front triangle
to replace the mock orange when I move that to the pot by the garage door
Also plants to tuck into the moss rock border:
Angelina sedum
Blue Woolly veronica (one for the driveway strip).
(Also replace the ajugas out front with Angelina sedums)
Add cuttings of the blue sedums I have
✓ got several Angelinas to divide, got more blue sedum plants to divide, got Turkish speedwell to divide. And 3 Coral Reef creeping sedums
